So I auditioned, worked, and then I started a theater company, Chimera Theater Ensemble with my class from The Black Box Academy in November of 2015. I oversaw the branding, artistic direction, and oversaw the talent in the ensemble.  I was at the helm for the first 11 months of this not-for-profit company.

I was planning on working as a union actress through my own company, but alas, I couldn't afford myself and made the tough decision to go non-union. This made it possible for me to work in the thriving storefront theater community.

I've had the joy to work with Steep Theatre, Gift Theatre, Promethean Theatre Ensemble, City Lit Theatre, Eclectic Theatre, Pride Films & Plays, Reutan Collective, Chicago Dramatists, and WTA.

Theatre work in Chicago...

When I returned to theater in 2014, I was member of AEA, the Actors Equity Association. My resume was 20 years old and mostly musical, since in my twenties I was always the ingenue--Gigi in Gigi, Nanette in No No Nanette, Pegeen Ryan in Mame.
